Welcome back to the classic Warriors, in a territory long forgotten. The dusty forests of ThunderClan, breezy moors of WindClan, dark swamps of ShadowClan and quiet streams of RiverClan are still here, and so are the familiar clans within them. Outside the forest territory lies the world of Rogues, a ragged band of cats who stick together simply because they don't belong anywhere else. Join in on a life of betrayal, friendships and adventures not so different from the one you know.

So of course, first on the list is advertising. I swear, I'll stop bugging everyone about this once we get 30 members or have at least 20 active in the past 24 hours. Anyways, MotM is up, we need votes! I understand that new members can't really vote, and that's fine, but old members? Please. Chapter 1 of the plot will hopefully get started over the weekend, so check back on the plot thread about that, especially because positions needed for Chapter 2 will be released. Ryuu had the brilliant idea to add the recent events in the IC world. Things like kits being born, cats dying, switching clans, or cats moving up ranks. Basically the things that would be announced at a Gathering, but the gathering thread only lasts for a few days, and it's nice to be able to see the information 24/7. Not to mention, leaders can't keep track of every single thing that happens in the forest. So if something event-worthy happens to your cat, PM a staff member about it and we'll add it to the list of things on the header. [Ryuu, I'm not sure if this is exactly what you meant, but you can PM me about that too if you want me to change something about it.] I'm also adding the three other OTM's. I'll gather nominations for cats and threads from the leaders today, as well as start the Quote of the Moon nominations threads [Members nominate the quote.] Sorry that this was so long, thanks for sticking with me ;P

 Marking my terra (open,Foxtail)
« Thread Started on Oct 7, 2009, 7:36pm »

There on the other side of the grave thunderpath stood a smallish cat, it was just sitting there, watching both sides of the path as if expecting something to happen. But sadly there was no monsters at all that day. None were crashing past at all. With a sign of confidence and perhaps terror the young cat stood and placed his front paw onto the black river bed. It was solid with surprized him greatly, and the texture was unlike anything he had ever felt before. Slowly and carefully as if it might fall out from under him at any moment, ragepaw stepped all the way onto the path. His face was an inch from the ground as his body slumped forward uneasy from the new set of ground. After a few steps forward the ground began to shake and the young cat with a skiddish personality, yowled loudly in fright and darted across to the other side without looking back.

Shaking leaves from her fur, Whisperstar shivered in the cool afternoon air, smiling to herself as she padded through the woods. A mouse lay buried several lengths back, and she made a mental note to pick it up later on her way back to camp. For now though, she was going to enjoy her time personally patrolling the territory. Dark tabby fur blending in with the shadowy forest, the scent of the Thunderpath hit her like a bullet, but she didn't even flinch. She knew that patrolling meant watching all the borders, as distainful as they might be. Besides, if Thunderclan was thinking Shadowclan would stay away from this part of the territory, they might try invading.
Ahaha... Now you're just sounding paranoid, Whisperstar. Really...
She smiled softly to herself, slowing to a stop at the edge of the black tar. Gazing across, her ears flicked and her eyes caught sight of faint movement on the other side. Narrowing her gaze, she tried to make out what it was, and she gaped as she recognized a small cat...
Ragepaw? What's a Riverclanner doing here?
Suddenly, she heard a familiar roaring, and the ground shook underpaw. Eyes widening, her heart seized for the small cat, and she leaped to her paws, about to dash over and grab the tom before he crossed. However, he too had sensed the danger, and with more speed than she had imagined a cat having, the tom sprinted across, leaving the twoleg monster's danger behind.
Rushing over to the tom, she halted, filled with a mixture of relief, shock, and anger.
"Ragepaw of Riverclan, what in Starclan's name do you think you're doing here? You could've gotten yourself killed!"

Ragepaw laughed in triumph! That stupid monster could never catch him! then suddenly it hit him, with a hiss of surprize he jumped back onto the pavement. "You stay away from me!" He hissed at the shadowclan leader. For some reason he knew it was her the minute he scented her coming. Every hair on his pelt stood up, but the rumbling under his feet made him jump back ont the earth.

Blinking, the she-cat's eyes widened in surprise and she halted abruptly, taken aback by such a sudden display of hostility from a young cat.
"Hey..."
Out of habit, she corrected herself, the look of shock vanishing almost instantly as she took on a more assertive expression.
"Now you wait just a minute, Ragepaw of Riverclan. I don't think you quite understand your position here. Just what were you doing so far from your territory and clan?"
Her voice was stern, and green eyes stared down at the apprentice with a shadow of authority. She didn't care if the tom had a grudge against Shadowclan or hated cats arguing or telling him what to do in general- this was her clan's territory, and she wasn't going to let some hot-headed youth bully her off.
Whisperstar's mouth set into a firm line of determination as she waited for the tom to answer her inquiry.
Whether he wants to or not, I'll get an answer out of him before he returns to his clan.

Ragepaw hissed as the leader got closer, she was going to boot him off this territory for sure but he was brave! he could take her! "Well if you really wanna know! i am going to take this territory from you!"Ragepaw hissed with all the muffled bravado he could muster. "You see my mentor told me that he didn't care what happened to me and that i should take shadowclan. So i am here to take it from you whether you like it or not. Now hand it over and no one will get hurt!" He hissed and took his only known battle stance, and glared at the leader. "I will let you off easy i promise on starclan that i will!" This time he had an edge in his voice that was some what hoping she would just give ti to him but he knew for a fact that she would not just give it to him. So ragepaw bunched his muscles and got ready to sprint.

[xD Ragepaw's adorable.]

The she-cat looked at him in disbelief, curious as to who his mentor was.
"Take Shadowclan? You must be out of your mind..."
She laughed, and her voice died down as she recognized the serious expression on his face. Smile fading, she stared down at him before standing. Sliding one hindpaw back, she stood still, emerald eyes resting on the young tom.
"If you are serious about this, then I will fight you as I would a warrior. This is your last chance to back down, Ragepaw. Shadowclan Territory is not up for grabs."
Her voice was sincere, and a haze passed behind her eyes as her tail swayed slowly back and forth, like a snake analyizing its prey.

With a sigh of anger ragepaw buffed himself up in his mind for the fight ahead. "I am not out of my mind! If i take shadowclan i can be a hero!" He hissed more seriously then before. Then with a mighty purr Ragepaw puffed out his chest And roared a challenge to her. "Fight me leader of shadowclan!" And with that ragepaw flung himself into the air, flipping his body around as he flew over her and landed behind her, swiping a blow to her back legs and aiming a bite to the base of her tail.

he continued staring out at the winding moorland, and suddenly he felt a cold weight in the pit of his stomach. what if ragepaw took his angry rant seriously? the mouse-brained apprentice was too stupid to realize he wasn't the greatest, strongest cat in the forest. sighing, he still couldn't feel regret in the words, as he spoke the truth, but he felt guilt prickling along his spine. slowly he turned, padding back to the spot in which he had last spoken to his apprentice. to his alarm the scent trail led away, not towards the camp, but towards the shadowclan border. great starclan he thought, rolling his eyes with a hiss of frustration. could his apprentice be any more stupid? he followed the trail, muscles tense and claws itching to rake them over the idiot's ear. as he approached the border, his fur bristled in alarm. he could scent trouble, and could hear a yowl from ragepaw, followed by fighting snarls. his fur bristled with alarm, and he shot forward, hardly realizing he was running across the thunderpath. a huge monster roared at him, and a panicked yowl rose from his throat as pain met his tail.

he skidded to a halt on the shadowclan side of the thunderpath, paws stinging, pain shooting up and down his tail. glancing back he saw it was crumpled uselessly on the ground, blood dripping into the grass. although the pain was enough to send him yowling back to camp, he pushed back his pain and alarm, and turned to face his apprentice. his eyes widened with shock as he saw the mottled apprentice battling with whisperstar. anger shot through him, but he wasn't about to attack the shadowclan leader in her own territory, for the sake of a mouse-brained piece of fox-dung like ragepaw. anger rising inside him like a burning pit of fire, he snarled, "ragepaw! for the love of starclan, you senseless mouse! what are you doing? do you think you're so much better than everyone else, you can just walk around like you own the place? your an apprentice you fool! start acting like one, respect your clan mates, and get back to camp!" he spat, bristling with fury as it seethed beneath his pelt, claws rooted in the earth to keep himself from hurling himself at his apprentice and slashing his tail off.

he stepped forward, teeth sinking into the tom's neck, and hauled him away before the shadowclan leader could attack him. he tossed him to the clearing beside the thunderpath, growling and giving him a look of pure fury. "get back to camp! expect icestar to know what you've been up to!" he growled. he tried to thrash his tail but couldn't even move the crippled bone. as he tried, pain clawed at it and lashed up his spine. turning away, he fixed an apologetic, yet still angry at his apprentice, gaze on whisperstar. "i apologize for my apprentice's mouse-brained behavior. the crow-food eater needs to learn to show respect, to his clan mates, and everyone else. you can know that he will be punished," he growled, dipping his head respectfully to the she-cat in higher authority, knowing that he was also in her territory and in danger of being attacked. for a heart-beat, he thought again about his kits. it would have been so much easier if brightsoul had been of riverclan. or if he was of windclan. would this have happened?

[Sorry, this short part is gonna sort of be god-moded. It's not very likely that an apprentice could seriously harm a clan leader, you know? =/]

Frowning as the tom hurled himself at her, she ducked and stepped forward, flicking her tail out of range as her eyes waited for his next move.
Too easy. Is he really fighting for his clan, or for his pride?
She opened her mouth to speak, but was cut off as another scent hit her, and her gaze flickered over to the Thunderpath as a spray of red splashed across the ground. Stiffening, her heart skipped a beat as she waited for the limp body to drop to the ground, and she was surprised when instead, a tom smelling of Riverclan bounded onto Shadowclan's side of the territory. He was bleeding from his tail down, and she noted in admiration the way he held back the pain and marched over to Ragepaw, seemingly his apprentice.
Sitting down, she wrapped her tail around her, watching quietly as the warrior scolded the tom and then turned and apologized to her.
Dipping her head, emerald eyes were calm yet forgiving at the same time.
"We were all foolish when young. I thank you for coming here to retrieve him, though I sincerely apologize for the loss of your tail."
Gaze passing over the mangled limb, she looked down at Ragepaw.
"Keep in mind that your clanmates are willing to do a lot for you, Ragepaw. I see no reason for me to be upset by his actions, though keep in mind that Shadowclan will not hold back the next time a cat carelessly intrudes upon our territory."
Rising as she adressed Foxtail once more, she nodded at him, stepping back and out of the way to let them return to their territory. She figured they would have to cross through Thunderclan to get back to the river, and she knew things wouldn't turn out well if they were caught by a patrol. For a moment, she was in silent contemplation before she came across a decision.
"Feel free to cut through Shadowclan Territory on your way back. I trust your apprentice won't try anything else, and as long as you tell my warriors that I let you pass through, they should take your word for it."
Casting a small smile at the two, she turned, looking into the bushes before glancing over her shoulder at mentor and apprentice.
"We Shadowclan cats aren't as mean as we look. I doubt you want to start something with Thunderclan, so don't hesitate to follow the border back to the river."

With a yowl of surprise Ragepaw was flung away from the leader and then next to the rode where a monster he just pasted by him. The fur on his back was tingling with horror and fear of being hit and then he saw his mentor, blood dripping from his tail. The words toward him were like a stab to his heart every word hurt him more and more as he spoke on and ragepaw suddenly felt like everything was his fault. he wouldn't show it though, not in the normal way everyone else did. "What do you mean! i am respecting my clan mates! I was getting more territory for us! Doesn't that mean anything to you?!" He snorted with eyes wavering from his mentors face to the now stubby tail. "I had her too! Until you came along and ruined my mojo! I could have gotten us more territory, More food!!" he hissed again his ears flattening to his head and his tail laying flat on the ground. Ragepaw was lowering himself knowing what he was doing was wrong but he couldn't just let it go, he was always wrong and now he just argued to make it right to him. Half reassuring himself, Ragepaw turned his back to his mentors harsh tone and waited to leave as his mentor and the leader talked, his shoulders shaking, and his paws twitching to just leave and run off across shadowclan back to his little mossy den at camp.

the ginger tom was about to reply to whisperstar, but his apprentice's words made his fur bristle. he whipped around to face the tom, glared at his back fur. "and what about them?" he hissed, fury seething beneath his fur. "you say you respect others, but the most important thing to respect is the warrior code, which it seems you don't! we don't need more territory. the territories are equal so all cats can get prey and territory. we are no better than anyone else," he snarled. he wanted to lash his tail with contempt. he could feel warm blood dripping on his legs, so he turned back to whisperstar. "thank you," he dipped his head. in an undertone he added. "cats say bad things about all other clans because they don't think all cats feel the same. but we're all clan cats. we all have the same desires, so must we always be hostile to each other?" it was a rhetorical question that he left hanging in the air. it wasn't a long walk to the border, so he dipped his head respectfully at whisperstar before turning in that direction. he saw the blood sprayed across the thunderpath, and his whiskers twitch. did it really bleed that much? a sudden worming feel of panic built in his chest. what if it never heals? he knew, in legends, some cats who had lost there tails retired to be elders. he didn't want to be an elder. he still had many more seasons of serving his clan. his eyes fixed on the ground, lost in thought.
